Ever Bilena Matte Lipsticks Review
It's fascinating how our homegrown brands have stepped up in improving and producing great products in the past years. In all honesty, I am a little biased when it comes to makeup and skincare brands.

I'm generally no brand-conscious, in fact I'm huge cheapskater so I buy cheap clothes here and there, bags or shoes, branded or not. But that doesn't apply to makeup and skincare. I've always believed that only expensive brands can give exceptional quality. But I was wrong.

Ever Bilena, for example, is one of the locally available brands I've been checking out lately. I have already reviewed their highly raved (lip tint) which was also loved by some local celebrities.

For today's love local review, We got Ever Bilena EB Matte Lipsticks (P165) in Off Beat Pink and Pink Flame.

EB Matte Lipsticks are housed in a sleek black packaging. Classy and sturdy.

EB Matte Lipstick has a huge shade selection. I don't have all of them on hand but I would say that the shades were made to suit Filipina skin tones. The red lippies, for example, come in different shades of red.

• Pink Flame
I love this shade so much. Been using this a lot lately. It's a beautiful pink shade with reddish based tone.

If you're still confused how to judge colors by tones. Just think of some 'Red' lipsticks that look so so flattering on some famous fair people, so you buy it after, right? You wear it, but suddenly it doesn't look good on you, why on earth!?

You probably got a cool toned lipstick (regardless if it's pink or red), if you're kind of morena, chances are your skin has more yellow tones, you should be getting something whose color is kind of leaning to the warmer side.

• Off Beat Pink
Off Beat Pink is a little lighter than Pink Flame. At first glance, Pink Flame and Off Beat Pink appear to be exactly the same, but they're not. Off Beat Pink is a flattering pink lipstick; Pink Flame can sort of pass like your lips but better with one light swipe. I dunno about you but it's really kind of close to my natural lip color, just a little pinker. (Wish I make sense there haha!)
Texture and Finish
Ever Bilena Matte Lipsticks are a little less oily than Wet N' Wild Lipsticks. They, too are creamy but the application requires a little more effort in spreading the product around the lips. They dry up semi-matte. You can get a totally matte finish by blotting with a tissue paper. They kind of feel drying on me or maybe it's just me as I really have dry lips most of the time.
