HADA LABO Hydrating Lotion Light Review

by - Wednesday, March 27, 2019

I’ve always had oily-combination skin so I’ve never paid much attention to moisturizers until I noticed that my makeup base looks dull and boring. On most days, I would just spray some MAC fix+ to fix this then I’m good to go. But then I realized that the real culprit lies underneath that foundation, it was my skin all along!

While, yes, my skin has always been oily, that does not exactly mean it’s hydrated and fully moisturized. And surprisingly, it was the exact opposite. That’s when I finally tried HADA LABO Hydrating Lotion in Light.

I always find most moisturizers to be sticky, the same reason that drove me away from using any moisturizing products. When I found out that HADA LABO Hydrating Lotion Light is non-sticky and for oily combination skin I knew it was meant for me.

It barely has any scent. It is crystal clear, it looks and feels exactly like water. My skin absorbs it real quick. On top of that, HADA LABO Hydrating Lotion Light feels light on skin indeed and non-sticky to boot!

How to Use:
I use it every morning, before putting my makeup, and before sleeping. You can use a cotton pad or put some product on your palm and directly pat it onto your face to get the most of the product.

* Fuss-free, easy to use product that is available almost everywhere in Japan. It’s affordable and even sold in refills.

What I Don’t Like About It? None.

Have I mentioned this is my second bottle already? (supposed to be third but I switched and tried the Shirojun/Whitening variant for a while). And I’m sure buying this again. I love how HADA LABO Hydrating Lotion Light preps my skin before makeup.

I’m not the most attentive when it comes to skincare routine but HADA LABO Hydrating Lotion Light definitely made it to my staple products. Now I understand why it has become one of Japan’s beloved beauty brands.

PS: Here in Japan, toners are called ‘lotions’ and moisturizers are called ‘Milk’ or sometimes milky lotions.
